ABSTRACT

The Cellular and Molecular Fungal Biology Conference (CMFB; formerly Cellular and Molecular Mycology) provides a forum for presentation of the latest advances in fungal research with a particular emphasis on filamentous and pathogenic fungi. The Conference brings together the leading scientists from academia and industry to discuss current research directions and themes at Holderness School, on outstanding venue for scientific interaction and recreation.

In addition to oral presentations, the CMFB Conference has always had highly valued poster sessions with the majority of attendees presenting either a talk or a poster. Past scientific programs have included the following topics: ecology, evolution, metabolism, gene regulation, development, epigenetics, medical mycology, phytopathology, cell biology, signal transduction, and genomics. In addition, a late-breaking session of oral presentations will be selected from submitted poster abstracts. The CMFB Conference provides a unique opportunity to examine the breadth of fungal biology in a small meeting format that encourages in-depth discussion among the attendees.

All scientists with an interest in fungal biology are encouraged to apply to attend the CMFB Conference. The organizers are committed to achieving a balance among the attendees in terms of career stage, gender, nationality and area of interest.
